Texas Tree House | Vacation Rental Ruidoso, New Mexico

The Texas Tree House was completed in 2000 by Abernathy, Texas, natives Clark and Rhetta Riley. It started out as our vacation spot, but we quickly realized how much others would enjoy this great log cabin and decided to open it up for vacation rentals!

The Texas Tree House consists of 2,400 square feet with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a loft that doubles as a family room and extra sleeping area. We have three televisions, each with a DVD/Video player. One of the highlights of this house is the rock fireplace in the great room that can be seen from the kitchen and loft areas. The home features two Mitsubishi units for comfortable heating and air conditioning year-round.  One is in the loft and the other in the great room. Outside, guests will enjoy two covered decks covering two sides of the house for great views. On the down stairs deck we have a private hot tub. On the top deck is a barbeque grill for guests to use.

Four wheel drive and/or chains are needed in snow and icy weather. It is located in the Upper Canyon outside of Ruidoso. Ruidoso is home of the Ski Apache Ski and Snowboard Resort, which offers some of New Mexico’s best skiing! If you are not one for skiing, there are plenty of shops.
